Coquina Jasper (also known as Script Stone, Calligraphy Jasper, or Cobra Stone) is a sedimentary rock formed near ancient shorelines sourced from India. It is composed primarily of fossilized shell fragments (cockleshells and shellfish), coral, and calcite cemented together in a fine-grained matrix. It is prized for its high contrast, often featuring beautiful script-like patterns and colors of brown, cream, red, and orange.
