Chinese Picture Jasper Ovoid Vase

This elegant ovoid-shaped vase, standing 6.75 inches tall, is crafted from authentic Chinese Picture Jasper. Discovered in the mountains of southern China, particularly near Dali in Yunnan Province, Chinese Picture Jasper is sedimentary rock celebrated for its natural landscape-like patterns. Also known as Chinese Painting Stone, Chinese Scenery Jasper, or Shui Mo stone (meaning "water ink" stone), these remarkable specimens display scenes that resemble traditional Chinese brush paintings—complete with mountains, mist, and horizons—all created entirely by nature. Part of the inside core of this vase was not completely drilled out of the stone, so it is priced accordingly. It does not affect the outside beauty or the ability to display flowers with a shorter stem. This is vase would be in our Reserve Collection if it weren't for this very minor internal flaw.
